I’d start with my usual apology about the lack of blogs recently, but I think everyone’s sick and tired of that. Let’s face it, life is busy, very busy, and my blogs are less frequent.

So skipping that (sort of), onto my main reason for actually sitting down to write a blog. I’ve been thinking a lot about ambition recently. A rambly waffly blog about to follow.

Ambition is a good thing. It drives people, it prevents people from becoming apathetic an pushes people through harder times and over obstacles. However I’m not always sure ambition is a good thing. Maybe it’s possible to have too much ambition?

I actually wouldn’t label myself as ambitious; I’m very easily content and don’t feel the need to constantly better myself. Maybe I’m not particularly driven or maybe this stems from years of having to re-adjust my goalposts as my health declined – I’m not sure – but I get quite comfortable and don’t often strive for change in my own life (although in external issues I am passionate about it’s an entirely different story but that’s another blog…)

Mind you, if I had no ambition at all, I wouldn’t be where I am today; a graduate with a multi-faceted job and chairman of a charity, so maybe I am quite driven but only to a certain extent?

Alcohol Does Stupid Things

Makes me wonder if luc had something to drink before he died or something like that, because the way they phrase it in the journal, it does sound like drinking is something he’s against. i doubt tanger is baptist or against drinking because of his age, no one is as intense as sid when it comes to training and he drinks so it’s not because of training, so it must be because of something that happened.

unless he does like liquor or something, but the anony sophomore claims that he occasionally drinks. interesting. good for tanger though. too much alcohol does stupid things to people. i don’t blame him for what happened. alcohol does stupid things to our reflexes and brain. I was very very mad at him for the rest of the eve. and i know that’s why i wasn’t happy with the rest of the night…. but…i don’t blame him. and i forgave him. he didn’t say the things he did on purpose, and that’s why i can look back now and say, ok shit happened, he pushed my buttons and emotions that night for a reason, but – it won’t happen again. end quote. however he’s one of my best friends. and i value his friendship very much. and after i thought about the way the whole night played out, I realized that I should have been more understanding and forgiving from the getgo with him. it wasn’t his fault that I have issues that can’t be dealt with head-on by another outside source. and after he left this morning, i felt awful about the way I was all night to him. Because looking back on it, i know what it’s like to be drunk and talkative. I’ve been there. it’s not something you can control. You pretty much just say the first things that come to mind when you’re in that state of mind. oh well….it’s all water under the bridge now…and i hope he can understand and forgive me for being the ‘bitch diva’ of the night. when all i wanted to do was crawl into bed and sleep. oh well … life goes on.

Because the amount of ads someone sees everyday doesn’t necessarily make him or her purchase a product, some more data is needed in order to determine how influential AOL really is. Also, sometimes less is more. Not everybody enjoys being surrounded by promotional materials on the web. Some ad providers seem to understand that, although this may be a tricky way to go. Google stated recently that the politics of the company imply exactly fewer ads of a better quality. Since the financial results were not as good as those anticipated, it is possible that AOL’s persistence leads to better performances.

Give Babies Drugs

Sometimes they have to give babies drugs to ease their stranger anxiety and fear, but not with Logan. He went right to the nurse and away they went. I was a little worried to see him leave, but he was back in my arms in less than 15 minutes. They said he woke up from the surgery very happy, but when he saw me he screeched out for his “ba ba.” The poor baby hadn’t eaten since 7:30 the night before. I was impressed that he didn’t want it earlier in the morning. Well, he drank his clear fluids there and then off we went to McDonalds for pancakes! Nana shared her plate with Logan, but he ate most of the pancakes himself!

The world’s largest waste of perfectly good malt liquor. Eventually I noticed that the bearded man was holding a large plastic goblet of what could have been white wine but was more likely flat malt liquor. There is no way in hell he concealed that on the way through the turnstile.
